King's Council Chess Club is all about giving back to the community. All earnings and profit are used to provide essentials for those in need


June 11th, 2024
We held the Summer Kickoff Party. Sponsored by Pike Road Branch Library, we brought pizza from Mello Mushroom, and other snacks such as juice and cookies.







March 29th, 2024
King's Council Chess Club partnered with Woodland Food Pantry and Pike Road Branch Library to raise food for the homeless shelter. The club members donated canned and non-perishable items. Stacy Dickinson, the founder of Woodland Food pantry spoke about the critical issue of food disparities, the consequences of unequal access to nutritious food and answered FAQ's.
Together we raised over 100 meals!
Feb. 20th, 2024
We hosted the 5th King's Council Chess Club meeting. In order to make the day more competitive and fun, I created fun challenges with the puzzles projected on the big TV screen for prizes.








Jan. 5th, 2024
King's Council Chess Club held a chess meetup. We played a casual round robin style chess tournament, with the players who secured most wins winning the grand prize.
Nov. 20th, 2023
King's Council Chess Club hosted its very first in-house chess tournament. Member's were paired up aganist each other in a Swiss Tournament format. We handed out prizes for the top 3 winners.







October 13th, 2023
Partnering with Youth Library Director, Mr. Matt Williams, I coordinated which chess sets to purchase opting for the USCF Regulated Boards. The youth members really loved these boards and were nonstop challenging each other throughout the event.
July 14th, 2023
On July 14th, 2023, King's Council Chess Club was officially kickstarted with Pike Road Branch Library. Not sure of the exact interest in Chess, I decided to coach chess with a little TWIST to it -- Chess Bingo
